UPSC CSE Mains 2018 Timetable -7 days time given for Optional Subject Revision

UPSC Mains 2018 Timetable is now announced. The mains exam (written) schedule starts on the day 28th September 2018. The gap between the start date and end date is 10 days.

UPSC 2018 Mains Exam Structure

• Exam duration is three hours for every paper.
• The forenoon session starts at 9.00 AM and ends at 12.00 Noon.
• While the afternoon session starts at 2.00 PM and lasts till 5.00 PM.
• There are 9 papers including 2 compulsory papers which are qualifying in nature.
• Except for compulsory papers, there are 7 papers counted for final ranking.
• The Mains Exam begin with Essay paper on September 28, 2018
• Also, GS Papers will conduct on 29-08-2019 and 30-08-2019
• However, this time UPSC gave a sigh of relief to the candidates by scheduling optional paper after a 7 days gap between GS Papers.
• The optional papers will conduct on the last day of UPSC 2018 Mains Exam, ie on 07-08-2018
